Gooseberry Almond Cardamom and Honey Focaccia
Herbs are not limited to teas and tinctures, but they can (and should!) be part of our food! As we all know, building a foundation of health with what we eat is so important for both our physical and mental health. That doesn't mean we have to cut out things we love, but having a balanced diet and adding plenty of vegetables and fruits (and herbs) can go a long way! And I say this as someone who struggled with "healthy" eating.
What has been helping, though? Approaching eating vegetables, some of them completely new to me, as an adventure to see how I can cook it and what herbs I can use to spice it up or compliment it! This "technique" has recently lead me to try Broccoli Rabe, Turnips, Nettle leaves in soup, and garlic scapes!
But herbs are also not limited to veggies! I've had success with baked desserts and even ice cream (honey rosemary). The options are limitless and that, to me, is exciting.
